"TSIF.net! We sell spicy buffalo wings!"
That was a slogan suggested by a friend of mine who saw the TSIF logo and thought it sounded like a restaurant. The chief objection that I had, beside the tiny matter that this in fact is not a restaurant, was that I didn't know how I would sell spicy buffalo wings over the internet. I'm certain that it can be done, but not by me. Another friend suggested that I order them from a local restaurant, put them in a paper bag, and send them book rate to whoever ordered them. ;)
In other news... I've recently been given a nickname. I'm a fan of nicknames but they never stick to me. I've playfully lamented this for years.
A few weeks ago, I christened a friend of mine "Mexico," mostly because I thought it sounded like a cool nickname, but a little bit because she was in Mexico when I thus christened her. ;) She decided to return the favor and find a nickname for me. Yesterday, she decided:
Aloha
I've never been to Hawaii. I'm not the sort of person who goes to Hawaii, not that I think there's anything wrong with Hawaii or anything wrong with the people who want to go there. Also, everyone agreed that the nickname makes me sound like a fruity sort of private detective. It was suggested that I might somehow fight crime by "telling a story with my hips." I don't really know what that means, but I find it disturbing nevertheless. ;)
But my new nickname, at least until this one too mercifully doesn't stick, is apparently "Aloha." My sincerest thanks to Mexico.

Aloha... A word meaning both hello and goodbye... Maybe they think you can't tell if you're coming or going? :)
